  you should know that King airs are 160 Knts indicated  in every attitude You shouldn’t pick on the king air just because it drinks 90 to 100 gallions of Jet-a / hr .It is only a tad faster that the mu-2 and just a tad slower than the near jet –from cessna The problem with the King air is the wing is the same wing box as the beach 18 . Hadn’t changed the depth of the wing for ever  at Beech - Gross weight is 12500  I used to fly it at fl 350  out of Colorado to Texas in the early 80’s and started a slow descent to my  destination , That was the only time I saw faster speeds than 160 indicated .I flue one for 4 years and after being in it that long I forgot how to fly . The plane is so easy to fly you forget how to do pilot stuff . It was an old  gentleman’s plane . I flue a G-2 all over the world for several years before that and the King air was a kick back easy plane to fly.  Bill Maddox
