I am new to the IV-P community and
have recently completed my training w/ Pete Zagganino (excellent). I am
not a builder and purchased the airplane last year and have updated it to all
modern standards. I have a very concerning problem that I can not seem to
get an answer on. It relates to vapor lock. I have now experienced a
partial engine shutdown as I switched tanks), and always on the left
tank. I was told to change the fuel selector to the new
Andair System which I did and the problem persists. The problem occured
once at low altitudes without changing tanks, and the other two times have
been at 15,500 or more w/ low boost on. It is quite alarming to say the
least given this last episode (today) occurred over Moab. I can’t seem to get an
answer on how to mitigate the problem. Can anyone help?
