Usually, hull in flight is the most expensive component although I am sure there is a liability cost penalty for each seat over 2. For years I had not-in-motion hull and $1M liability as I thought that my estate would not be adversely affected should I drill my lawn dart several feet into the ground - I know I wouldn't care. I forgot about the risk associated with a gear-up landing that I could walk away from and still have to pay for repair. I now insure for hull in flight (nothing like closing the barn door.......). Those of you with wheels stuck in the down position should consider self-insuring the hull whilst in motion. The not-in-motion hull insurance is important if you tie down out side or travel enough to strange airport environments. Ya gots ta have liability covered. Falcon works for me.
