Let's
see if I understand this, and correct me if I'm wrong... If I don't
comply 100% with rules 1 through 5 above (which didn't exist when I
purchased my kit), my Lancair won't pass the "official Lancair
Inspection", which means I won't be able to buy insurance, thereby
preventing me from being able to rent a hangar, which will obviously
prevent me from flying my airplane. So, I guess I'll just have one
very expensive lawn ornament? As Jeff said, "Thanks Joe
Bartels and all involved in making this
happen."
Mark,
Who was your quote with before Lancair got involved? AIG or some other
underwriter. Not enough data here to see why you have a difference.
What kind of plane are you building?
How much time do you have in it?
You can always purchase insurance from the other vendors-- they do not
require training or inspections.
