 I really don't have much experience with the Pratt products.  They
 didn't do much with helicopter applications except for the BELL 212 twin
 engine aircraft.  In comparison the PT6 would be much more expensive and
 much more powerful.  I don't think it would be a good fit for the
 Lancair aircraft.
 
 I know that recently a Garrett was installed in a IVP.
