I have flown in a Lancair 360 with air-conditioning.  It was a hot day in
Texas, and it was hot.  The owner of the plane was about to make some
modifications to the system to try and improve the airflow...  I don't know
how it is now.  It would probably have eventually cooled things down.

Keep the list posted, as I am sure others are interested in ways to retain
their water weight in the air....
