Angier,

Yes, the pushrods can be made removable but, at least on my
installation, not with the console cutout shown on the plans. I just
kept opening up the cutout on one side a little at a time until I could
just remove the longest pushrod. If you do this, there is probably no
need to make the console even partially removable.
