We had a bit of a discussion here over the past week regarding movement of
the LNC2 over center link switches which can cause a down & locked
indicator failure. I spent quite awhile searching through the archives
trying to locate a message that I knew was there about another approach to
mounting the gear switches.... all that searching was for naught, as it
turns out I _did_ see a message about this, it just wasn't here <g>.
In the June/July issue of the LNN there was an article by Chris Zavatson
about his modified o/c link switch location, wherein he had mounted the
switches directly to the o/c links instead of to the GM-porkchop bracket
(sorry, I don't recall the exact number... figured you know...) as called
for in the plans. I'm hoping that Chris will give us an update on that
report and let us know how that new mounting system is working out. Aside
from asking the wires to undergo considerable movement during the gear
cycle, it looks like a really foolproof way to insure that you always get a
down & locked indication when the gear actually is down & locked. What
say, Chris, how about a brief report?
