It was corrected somewhat by inflating strut and having the wheel statically balanced (performed at local motor bike shop).

However it wasn't until I noticed the nose gear was slighty off centre on retraction that I discovered the large through bolt at the nose gear mount, was very slightly bent. The bolt was replaced and the shimmy has now disappeared.
