One other thought...
Be sure to take a good look at your
nosewheel bearings. As you and I both know, what we think is strut shimmy
can come from other things. I'm just wondering if your wheel was removed
during painting if the bearings were possible put in too tight or loose. I
was flying a Navy jet once when a nosewheel bearing failed on landing
rollout and we could all feel it. Luckily we had two nosewheels, so
the other one picked up the load and we didn't break anything.
