Be sure to take a good look at your nosewheel bearings. As you and I = both know, what we think is strut shimmy can come from other things. = I'm just wondering if your wheel was removed during painting if the = bearings were possible put in too tight or loose. I was flying a Navy = jet once when a nosewheel bearing failed on landing rollout and we could = all feel it. Luckily we had two nosewheels, so the other one picked up = the load and we didn't break anything.    One other = thought...
