Excessive CO in the cabin of a IV/ IVP is caused by (among other things)
not having your aft seat sealed from the gear box area. The landing gear are not
totally sealed when closed and CO enters via the gear wells into the gear box
area and finally into the cabin. Sealing the aft seat prevents this from
happening.
