Gents:

I have had the GM 27 checked by Lancair and all of the parts in the factory
bin were not truely straight.

The weldment distorts the straight tube, then the bushings are inserted in
the ends and NOT straight reamed.  Hence, the steel rod will not rotate
freely and hangs.

I went through this with Rob and Vern over the last several months and three
different units just to have to use my own straight reamer to finish the
job.  I was hoping I was wrong in my suspicions but every GM 27 sent to me
failed to pass muster.  The third one came close but not perfect.  So if you
are still buying these from the factory,  you may be getting the ones I
rejected.
