Thanks Lorn, this is my second reply as my first disappeared into the ether just after I typed it.

I think my initial post may not have been clear-the mecahnics suspected a bent something or other where the nose gear joins the engine mount--I'm not sure that they suspected the engine mount itself was bent.

Anyway the good news is that they found a bent through bolt up top-not sure which part exactly but apparently it was over 6 inches long (but you know what these mechanics are like-always exaggerating).

Would be interested in the part number for the actuator--forgive my ignorance but is this seperate to the actuator which raises the nose gear? I'm assuming so as would not a higher rating (12lb v 100lbs)  compound the problem?
 
Caught any big fish?
