 Colyn,

For turbocharged engine there is essentially something close to zero advantage
to using  10:1 pistons over 8.5 to 9 pistons and very many reasons not to do
that.

For a turbocharged engine - -one of the primary advantages of going from 7.5
to 8.5  CRs is to get the exhaust gas temperatures down by 100 degrees or so.
With that accomplished,  further CR increases become quickly
counter-productive in the big scheme of things for turbo’d engines.

IF the timing is right, and the fuel flow is set up right,  you can not only
run a TSIO-550 for two hours at 2700x38,  but you can do it with the same
engine and 8.5:1 pistons

George, long as you're feeling sporty,  can't I put 10:1 pistons in if I have
PRISM to
back things off when I start detonating?
