Thanks for your response. The engine runs cool. The highest CHT I've seen is 368, and that is in the climb. The CR is 7.3:1 on my Performance Engines built engine.

IF the timing is right, and the fuel flow is set up right,  you can not only run a TSIO-550 for two hours at 2700x38,  but you can do it with the same engine and 8.5:1 pistons.

 

You could probably do it for a couple of hundred hours.

 

The trick is to get it set up right and keep it cool.

Would a TSIO-550 be able to be run for two hours at 2700 RPM and 38 " MP (full rich) without hurting the engine?
