The stub wing was bonded on and the landing was in it. We rented the biggest Ryder/Budget truck and put the Legacy in at an angle. It was on the rotiserrie and fit in the truck with maybe 3-4 inches to spare on each wingtip. 2,400 miles and 3 days later we arrived safely here in SC. Rental cost around 700 for the week with a 3,000 mile limit. Price was off their internet site and significantly cheaper than calling them. This was November, 2002.
