Correct: The belt originates in the reel and extends up and back to the standard pivot point, then back down around the body to fasten in the connector that is connected to the studs mounted in the back of the wing carrythru. Originally I used plastic "stand-ups" to hold the short length of belt and connector up between the seats where they could be seen but later removed the plastic standup pieces and just let thet short belt and connector lie next to the emergency Hydraulic pump handle.
After my accident, I am considering adding the standard Lancair Lapbelts in addition to the inertial belts. Something like belts and suspenders. Aint hindsight great!!!
I can take a photo if it would help but since the upholstry has been removed, you might have to use a little imagination to get the whole picture. Let me know Bill Hogarty
