He and I discussed it and felt there was room with a little fabrication. If you went with the Lancair wing root kit you could opt for a LoPresti "Boom Beam". I don't think shadows wold be a concern if mounted on the left side. The one downfall of that kit is that it doesn't fit so great and requires a lot of bodywork. Leighton Mangles can chime in on this one as he got it perfect on Carl Lewis' Legacy. I have Tim Ong's installed on my gear strut with 100 watt halogens and it is Very bright. For a FG I'm afraid it'd act as a speed brake. Finally, Jim Thomas fabricated and installed his own custom lights in his Legacy's wing root. Maybe he can share a picture. They look awesome.
