What is the average cost of flying a Lancair
360? Shall we revisit this question at $3.50 per gallon for 100LL?
Is the approximate formula still as it has been,
take the fuel price and double it? My guess is an average cost per hour
tac would be about $65-$70 per hour.
Still one of the most economical airplanes in terms
of cost per mile on the planet. That is $70 to go about 220 statute miles
= 32 cents per mile at high speed. That is lower than the IRS allowance
for driving!
