One question about collecting vs. returning the oil.  If these things prevent you from throwing the first quart or two of oil, how can there be only 1" of gunk collected?  Mr. Sandman at M20 is the guy who told me to fill it to the top and you won't lose any oil, assuming you return it.  I admit the installation is simpler on my engine if I just collect it.
