Thanks, Craig.
I'm thinking of a centrifugal type for an experimental airplamne with a 320 ci engine that only turns 2700 rpm.  Using your numbers and diving for the rpm and the 1.7:1 pressure ratio cifference, it looks like maybe 20-30 hp to drive the blower.
The problem is finding one that will do the job at less than 50,000 rpm.  M ost of the car-installations get to ramp up rpm from a crank turning around 5400.
I guess the old-time Indy blowers could develop the pressure radio for this displacement while spinning maybe 30,000.
I want to belt-drive the blower without an intermediate shaft.  Know of any blower installations that do that?
Thanks,
Terrence
