I posted the mod on a web site I created to document my build. (Incidentally I was not asked by one of the three FAA inspectors for this log nor did they notice I had no data plate on my aircraft). Anyway, we felt the lopped off tip just didn't look right to us so we did our own thing. Ron Jones sells a kit for this and I purchased his lenses and made a slightly different shape. He also developed winglets if that's a direction you're interested in. Here's a link to his site: http://www.legacy-innovations.com/parts.html Taking things a bit further, Jim Thomas made his own scalloped tips with recessed lights. I had a picture of them and can't seem to find it. Maybe we can get him to send it again. It is stunning. Below are links to what I did. The first was a lot of work, but the second went really quick (about 12 hours work). Hope this helps, Don Barnes http://www.lancairlegacy.com/paint_images/Visit_Two_8_lrg.jpg http://www.lancairlegacy.com/11_04_images/1104_start_6_lrg.jpg http://www.lancairlegacy.com/ http://www.lancairlegacy.com/07_03.html http://www.lancairlegacy.com/10_03.html http://www.lancairlegacy.com/11_03.html
