Since I've been studying piston engine management over the last number of years, I've learned that the first thing I needed to do was learn to enjoy the taste of crow over all of the things I KNEW that were true over the previous 30 years--that are not true. I've finally begun to appreciate that it is plain folly to argue over something that can be measured. So, we just go MEASURE it and then we have the answer. Of course, sometimes that's a lot easier said than done and you have to be confident that you are not overlooking something in the endeavor. Personal feelings, careers and passions were on the line throughout this thread and no one got crappy or personal about it, or, if they felt they were near--they stopped doing so. The amount of information passed back and forth by real knowledgable people on this subject was absolutely fascinating. Kitplanes Magazine would kill for a discussion like this. I've seen discussions of topics far less personal and passionate than this one devolve into nasty cat fights time and again on other chat lists. Is there a Turbo/Supercharger God we can pray to who will give us the definitive answer from on high about the best way to go? Nope guess not--we'll just have to work on that one some more...... Kudos to you guys! Will -- For archives and unsub http://mail.lancaironline.net/lists/lml/
