Brad,
I’m working on a
LIV-P. I’ve spent some time working on the fuselage bottom to get
it shaped and smoothed. I’m interested in getting the Eastwood long
boards as I know there’s still a long way to go to smooth the rest of the
plane. (Not to mention building it!) What grit sandpaper do you suggest I
get with the boards? Do I start with 60 grit on the long board then step
down to 100 or 120 before primer? Should I be shaped enough to start with
80 or 100 grit to start on with the long board? Or do you even need to go
to that fine with the long board? I know a lot depends on what you are
trying to accomplish, so I know a variety of grits may be best…but do you
have any pointers?
By the way…I’ve
seen your work. It’s amazing.
