The shaking was horrible. I had the buddy drive the 50 miles so I = could give him a ride and not have to land there again. The combination of small hard tires and high landing speeds make = Lancairs a poor choice for a bush plane. The basic structure may survive the abuse but little else will. = Consider electronics, fasteners, glue joints and electrical connections. = Parts that normally wear will wear faster due to the vibration and = extra dirt. Your prop tips will erode and be subject to more and bigger = rocks.
