Hello listers. We spent 3 days in Alamos Mexico and loved it. Alamos is a bit off the tourist map. Its a colonial town in the foothills of the Sierras. We found the people to be extremely warm and friendly. Culturally, this is about as far as you can get from the typical tourist town like Acapolco or the border towns like Juarez or Tiajuana. We barely escaped the fate of many Americans here. The story is, on the first day you love it. On the second day you hate it. On the third day you buy a house! We missed the second part but we do know where the real estate office is!

This morning, we crossed the Sea of Cortez to Mulege, Baja. I could get used to this, we parked the Lancair under palm trees right at the Serenidad hotel. The sky is blue, the water is bluer, its about 78 degrees and we are drinking margaritas at 10 in the morning!

Guys, we gotta have a fly in down here. I'll bet that nobody would require insurance if we wanted to have a 100 mile race down here too!

We're gonna spend about 3 days here with the Baja Bush Pilots watching whales and generally relaxing in the sun. We should be back in Virginia on Monday and will post some pictures then.
