Well, we had a wonderful weekend. The LEG2 was the envy of all at our Red Star Pilots Association simulated war games weekend down in Palm Springs. What great fun to be a photo recon ship the morning of the exercise, running in on our targets at 100' and 220+ kts. During the exercise I played "Exxon One One" tanker and then blasted down to the battlefield to play ABCCC (airborne command and control) or "Big Eye" getting TOT updates from the strike packages, running simulated comms ("Talon 49, Talon 49, you have rotting fruit at Alpha One..."), and vectoring Red Air in on blue forces. The first known air war sim in the civilian world is in the books, and we couldn't have done it nearly as well without good 'ole 122LL!
