As a retired Engineer, I believe the entire planet should be using one system of units, the MKS system. But such is not the case and it will not happen for a long time. What we have is a hodge-podge mixture of English, cgs, and MKS units. You are not going to change the situation in the near future so let's learn to live with it. When I purchased my ASI from Lancair, I expected the scale to be in Knots but it was in MPH. I have been using MPH ever since. I can use either . Mathematics is no that difficult.
