I am always amazed at the value of this forum. I thank
every one of the responders about my problem with my
IV-P. Unfortunately I have had so much work at the
office that I have not had a chance to look at the
airplane since landing except for a brief cursory
inspection on landing. I am due to a big annual next
week and will post a follow up on all items mentioned.
We will be looking at the blades, mag condition and
exhaust stacks etc and will report back the findings.
I plan to cruise at over 2500 since it makes sense to
me to avoid back pressure. I did post my settings at
that time but the mail did not show up on the list:
MAP 31.5 RPM 2450 FF 16.0 GPH CHT 330 to 340 oil temp
166 EGT 1500 TIT 1640 (i have a recorder and also
constantly monitor the engine health when at that
altitude) PSI 4.5 and had the setup at 21,000 feet
(that the pressure my duke's pump gives me at that
altitude). Thanks again for all the responses and
appreciate the help
