 your experience with the controller was unique and non standard....I've been
 flying since 1978 and very rarely heard slang and the controllers always
 reverted to standardized phrase when I asked them to say again....
 
 you can and should report this controller to the local FSDO if that was the
 case because the system would breakdown work if he did that
