I agree with Pete Cavitt on not running the tire
pressure too low. I had a nose tire blow out on
landing from being too low, because the rim cut the
tube and tire when touching the ground on landing from
squashing it down.
I had flown to Oregon (Hillsboro) from California when
it was very cold out 18 degrees F on the ground. I
flew back non-stop to Southern Cal at over 10K feet
(it was cold all the way back) and when I landed the
nose tire blew on landing. Luckily no damage other
than to the tire itself. It almost felt like I had
blown a main tire, but it didn't pull that much.
