I'm not particularly happy with the jacking point as established in the plans.
They are only about 18 inches out from the centerline and more importantly,
they are close enough to cause possible interference with normal operation of
the inboard gear doors.
Instead of using the 1/4" holes I made at the cockpit closeout rib location,
I'm planning to use the holes at the wing tiedown points for jacking the plane
off its gear. Have any of you tried this with success? Is there a reason why
this should not be done?
