I've heard several builders on here mention that shimmy can be lightened by
varying the tire pressure.  But, I've read the directive from Lancair and
they very explicitly state that if the strut is maintained or serviced
properly that shimmy should not occur.  If shimmy does occur it means that
there is an underlying problem.  I wonder if others who are flying have a
more "user" oriented viewpoint on shimmy?
