I did have to install a stronger spring in both directions and it took several attempts to get it correct. I have the small tail with an added ventral (sp?) fin which extends the rudder area several inches. (and adds a bit of weight to the tail) I have my flaps hinged on the bottom wing skin and can extend to 45 deg but have never used more than ~35 from the 7 deg reflex position. With the trim full back, I approach at 90 MPH, cross fence at 80, and stop on my turf runway using about 1500 ft minimum braking if any. My 3 blade MT allows this where the 2 blade Demuth wooden fixed took most of 2000 ft. I use my AOA to fine tune the approach speeds so those numbers vary a bit. Hi Rick,
