O320E2G. On the back of the engine near the top is an output for what I believe is the tach. I will not need this as my engine monitor has a tach in it. Can someone tell me if this needs to be capped off to prevent oil leaking out? Randy L. Snarr Randy, It will need to be capped, but engine monitors require some type of an RPM sensor, or "tach sender" on the engine. Some use the magneto for this signal, and if that's the type unit you have, capping the hole is all that's needed. You might check out your monitor before proceeding, to be sure what type "sender" unit you need on the engine.
