What I did was wait until I had my arm rests in place and = then put on a piece of padding that will approximate the thickness of = your armrest material before deciding on the final length.    Yes, the stick posts need = to be=20 trimmed down when you put your stick grips on.  What I did = was wait=20 until I had my arm rests in place and then put on a piece of padding = that will=20 approximate the thickness of your armrest material before deciding on = the final=20 length.
