We had a discussion a while back when I found out that my hand bumped into
the door frame on my ES with the control stick pushed all the way left. I
tilted my stick in another 10 or 15 degrees to gain a little space for my
knuckles. On cutting the sticks down, the ES takes some force to get it
rolling. I remember at least one guy has cut his sticks down, but I would
try to avoid it on an ES. I'm not familiar with the stick forces on a
IV.
