Subject: TKS vs. airfoil shape for LIVP

I'm wondering if there are any airfoil experts out there.

I went to look at a TKS installation last weekend.
The main wing leading edge wasn't as bad as I thought.  It pushes the leading edge about 3/8" forward and curves back to meet the existing edge.   So it's a slightly smaller radius.

The horizontal stab, however, is quite changed.   The TKS strip is at least an inch in front of the original leading edge with a correspondingly smaller radius.

I would expect in both cases that the stall speed would be increased but the more dramatic change to the horizontal stab is concerning.

I'm wondering if if this kind of a change might mean difficulty flaring and even worse stall recovery characteristics.
