As Scott Kreuger mentioned, I recently installed the Creative Air combination LED position lights/ halogen landing lights in the wingtips of my 360. I already have Tim Ong's lights installed on the gear legs. The gear lights for landing at night are not bad, and I have yet to test the 100 watt projector bulbs that I bought on Scott's recommendation.
However, I have always been a little concerned about how difficult the 360 is for other planes to see when approaching the pattern, and also thought more light for night landings would be helpful. While the gear mounted lights are very bright and noticeable, even in daylight, they are not any help until the gear comes down, usually on the downwind. I also installed the wig-wag flasher, which further increases visibility in daylight. The additional light for night landings is a nice bonus.
The fit was tight, but adequate. On the left side, I had an access panel on the bottom of the tip for my Sandel flux gate and GRT EFIS magmatometer, so installation was fairly easy. On the right side, I have no access panel, so I drilled 3 more holes in the position lights and installed nutplates in the tip. On this side, the landing lights are installed first, then the position lights are attached seperately via 3 short screws and nutplates. If you get the assembled kits, be careful when shaping them because excessive vibration from a grinder/sander can damage the components.
I have not had a chance to do much testing at night, but the LED position lights appear quite brite, and reportedly well exceed the FAA requirements. The landing lights use 75watt bulbs, the same as in Tim's Airlights.
