Scott,
Great post. This mail list has been a great source of ideas and insight about building, flying, and just plain bs'ing mostly about the Lancair. Back in the day aboard the "big grey jails" -- (USS. JFK and USS FID) it was commonplace to give and take good natured ribbing and the occasional flaming. Heck, if a junior officer couldn't take it you probably didn't want him on your wing when the scheiss hit the fan.
Keep up the commentary--o b one Kenobi.
I would like to propose a list of best ideas of 2004 from the LML.
Here is mine.
Carl Caldwell suggested trying GO JO hand cleaner creme (without pumice) for cleaning the belly. I finally tried it and my wife (who ususally get the job) about killed me for not using it sooner. Get rid of exhaust stains, oil, etc and the grimy belly syndrome in just a few minutes.. No scrubbing, just wipe on and let it sit a few minutes then wipe off. Thanks Carl. GO JO is available at WAL MART in the automotive section.
