last I checked (two years ago when I had a deposit on http://www.fadec.com )
the main driver wasn't EGT, but air mass (rpm, temp, MP) to seek .072 F:A...
cross checked with EGT for imbalance between cyls... loosing an EGT probe
wasn't as bad as loosing info on how much air was getting into the motor.

plus the injectors are running at 50% duty cycle at full power, so you don't
really want them to go 100% with any kinda failure.  while its true the system
is "complicated" it does find best power, and with the right ADI setup, could
make for a very fast motor...

while LOP is colder, it is also SLOWER..
