I had the same experience on hot days with hot fuel. The warmer the weather
the worse it was. I attributed it to vapor lock as the atmospheric pressure
went down at altitude while the fuel was still warm. It only happened on
that first tank switch. One time leaving Vegas at 115* it really burped
badly and the only way I could keep the engine running was high boost.
After about 30 seconds it settled down. In winter I had no problem.
