I've still got the parralelogram canopy but am giving some consideration to the forward hinge type. You guys with the latter, is it possible to taxi with this open? It gets uncomfortably hot Down Under and am usually rolling with perspirtation after a long taxi.

Why don't you just taxi with the canopy open? I taxi with mine open all of the time. This is the best air conditioning that I have ever had in a plane.
