 Hello Tom,

I think you will find that on paper the Legacy with the IOF550 will fly 2000
miles non-stop (no winds) with the basic tanks.  You just have to slow
down...a lot.  With about 30% power you'll burn about 5.6gph and go 199mph.
With 60gallons capacity that's 2132sm.  But your butt will be in the seat
for nearly 11 hours.  The real question you have to anser for yourself is
"how long do you want the non-stop 2000 mile trip to take"?  Recall that the
Voyager cut back on power enormously and ended it's trip at about 55mph.
Cruise efficiency and speed are at the opposite ends of the performance
 spectrum.

 Have fun calculating and dreaming,

 Jabe Luttrell

I'am considering buuilding a Legacy and was wonder what options are
available to extend the range of a Legacy?  I'd like to be able to fly 2000
 miles non-stop.
