Ron,
Do you know the reasoning behind the tower needing to know whether or
not an aircraft is experimental?  Several years ago I was talking to
some tower controllers at a fly-in and they told me they actually prefer
to hear the model of the aircraft.  This was so that they have a better
feel for the airspeeds involved.  (KitFox vs Lancair).  I suppose one
could say Experimental Lancair N....  .
