Yesterday at 5:00 my Legacy flew for the first time with Peter Stiles
at the controls. I was on the ground and talked to him on a handheld.
Everything check out great. Engine cooling was even, balance perfect,
in fact, in level flight the elevator is neutral. After about 20
minutes he brought it back with an overhead breaking approach. It was
quite a thrill after 2200 hours of hard work. Most of it sanding
something or another. (I'm looking forward to saying "remember those
days?").
So today Peter will finish up his testing the plane and I'll make my
first Legacy solo. Pretty exciting! More details to come. Rob Logan
would shut e-mail down if I didn't attach pictures, so here they are.
