Glad he was not flying from a marginal length airstrip for this first flight.

No, it could be classified as minimal tho'.  The plane was barely out of ground effect and by the time he got it down and stopped he didn't have much runway left.  If the engine quit 2-3 seconds later he could have been through the fence and onto a busy 4 lane street....

Glad everything worked out OK.  What ever Don is getting paid for this, he should get a 100% tip for saving the airplane....
