X-Original-Date: Fri, 12 Nov 2004 18:28:31 -0800 X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.619) Was out at Chino today...getting my checkout in a T-28, actually....a IVPT taxied by and then a host of people showed up out in the non-movement area with cameras, etc. Figured it had to be a first flight... The plane accelerated slowly down the runway, lifted off in a very flat pitch and then began to oscillate wildly when the pilot eased back on the stick...he chopped the power and was able to get it back on the runway in one piece - barely! I was right in the middle of pre-flighting the T-28 for my check ride so I didn't have time to go over and find out what happened. Anybody have any scoop on this? Looks like a beautiful airplane, but MAN was that close! Barry
