However, I dutifully carry it along and occasionally mount it and use it just to stay current with the button pushing. I wouldn't use it as a main instrument, unless you're flying VFR all the time, and even then if I had the money and needed a backup, I'd get the new Garmin unit (296?). It's readability appears better and the refresh rate is superior. However, when I've had the occasion to use the PDA with Anywhere Map I've always found my way. John
